The largest swimming pool in the world is the San Alfonso del Mar seawater pool in Algarrobo, Chile. It is 1,013 m (3,324 ft) long and has an area of 8 ha (19.77 acre), it was completed in December 2006.

It is situated inside the beautiful San Alfonso del Mar resort in Algarrobo, Chile is the world's largest swimming pool officially documented in December 2006 by the Guinness Book of World Records.

This gigantic pool spans an remarkable 1,013 meters in length which totals just under 20 acres. The pool is big beyond belief, holding 66 million gallons of water. To put in perspective, the pool is roughly the same size as 6,000 8 meter long swimming pools put together. Seeing that this swimming pool is measured the largest pool in the world, many tourists flock to San Alfonso del Mar every year.
